THE inaugural 'Flook Off' award goes to 5 Live commentator Jonathan Pearce. Lest we forget Pearce once cried, live on a local radio station, when City were knocked out of the play-offs.

5 Live had been running a competition where the winner got to have his or her name included in a Pearce commentary and the winner was announced as a Gashead from California. The commentary was duly heard with the winner scoring the winning goal in the Gloucestershire Cup against City after a move which included classic Rovers' players such as Bannister, Warboys and Jarman. Sadly, being a tad bitter and twisted Pearce was unable to remain gracious and he felt compelled to add that it was the first time in 10,000 games that Rovers had beaten City. Doubtless he felt really big and clever ruining someone's prize like that. To you, Jonathan, gasheads.com says FLOOK OFF.
