EPISODE FIVE: COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS

by Edward Teach

This week finds Basil still reeling from the crack on the head he got last week from the Moose Head. His somewhat blurred sense of reality left him wandering around aimlessly telling all of his staff that he wanted them to attack anything and everyone they found in the green room with relentless ferocity.

As the doctor chases him around Fawlty Rovers with a large syringe the staff try their damndest to comply with the increasingly random logic of their boss. Manuel is more confused than most having been planted with a huge wet kiss on his return from holiday and Polly is grinding her teeth as Basil continues to fail to appreciate her hidden qualities since his accident. She is left hanging around the fringes of the green room waiting desperately for Basil to allow her back in to serve the guests.

Sadly the staff fail to comply as thoroughly as the capering Basil would like as he jumps up and down and shouts from the roof of the hotel. Sybil is left yelling at him to come down and join the staff in the green room along with all of his regular guests so that they can hear what he's saying. O'Reilly is rubbing his hands with glee as he may be required to patch up the roof if Basil puts his feet through the ceiling.

All the while the doctor is waiting behind the door of the green room for him to finally set foot on firm ground so he can stick a needle up his backside.
